Hammock one nighter

Managed to get out to the woods with a couple of friends last night. Good opportunity to test out my new hammock set up and generally chill out.

Spent an hour or so scouting out a new campsite, and managed to find a nice spot.

First thing first; Get a brew on. My crusader and Monkey Boy stove.

Next on to our digs for the night.

Did some fire prep and made a Wegan Stick.

Beef stew over the camp fire, a good dinner

Sat around the fire and had a few drinks before retiring to our rooms for the night

A good night all round and it didn't rain until morning.

Great stuff! What sort of temps did you have?

Not sure as the digital thermometer I had taken decided not to work . It was forecast lows of 0c but it felt a little warmer.

How did the PLUQ measure up?

Its a clone, I got it on British Red's recommendation think there called Canal boat lamps, it was £5.99 as I remember.
Takes UCO candles and came with an oil burner insert.

Thanks for the heads !! I could defiantly do with something like that. And the fact it can be used with oil as well has just sold it to me.. Can I ask where you purchased it from?

How did the PLUQ measure up?

I was pretty happy with it, I've not tried a proper UQ so not got alot to compare it with. But well my back wasn't cold so I'll call it a win.

Thanks, it is a lovely spot. The weather is always kind and fire wood is always plenty.
