Where in the UK can I get one from.
My Klean Kanteen has just bit the dust and I want to replace it.

I spotted one of the Lifeventure stainless steel water bottles a while ago, bought it and its not leaked.
Seemed pretty much the same as the Klean Canteens apart from the bit of cork in the top. Can't say I was right fussed about having a bit of cork in the lid anyway so it was a good bit cheaper at seven or so quid.

Where did you see them? I have a Stanley stainless and has done me proud but the lid has started to leak.
My Klean Kanteen had an accident with a fork truck at work and is now critically ill.
The Nalgene would be nice but open to options.

How can you tell the difference.

I just don't know.

I would guess if they are an inferior product (the fakes that is) they warp when placed in direct heat.

The Nalgene Guyotts are made of surgical steel and are heat resistant - other stainless steel bottles are ''apparently'' not robust enough to boil water on an open fire.(I have not tested others so that might not be correct).

I bought the Guyots for the school and they have been regularly used by students and have held up well

The GSI Dukjugs are pretty good John, the H2JO filter works really well with them too

Same dims as a regular Nalgene so fit all the usual mugs and carry cases etc

Looked at them Rich but two issues with them. The thread has been known to crack and then leak also the thread is plastic and attached to the container making it a no go for heating water over flame.

Another place to at least have a look would be Recreation Equipment, Inc., in Seattle, Washington.
They have equipped Himalayan expeditions and they ship all over the world.
I think www.rei.com should get you there. Search for water bottle.
