A torch that packs a punch!

Made using teak wood, recycled bits and bobs, copper and brass fittings. It has a working LED light and measures about 18 inches long.

Victorian industrial heritage and Black Country heritage are the main influences in the making of these

Nice work. What batteries did you use, and what LED?

Hi thanks for the contact, the battery can be seen on the first 3 photos, it's a 6v lithanium ? flat battery about 15mm in dia. The LED is one recycled from a garden light, standard 6v, c. 30,000 hrs. Hope that helps, Best wishes

So it's direct drive? Just battery and LED?

I enjoy building/modding torches now and then. You can buy all sorts of electronic drivers to go between the battery or batteries and the LED. The advantage is you can have different modes, like hi medium and low.

Yes it's direct drive , as this was my first torch gun I sort of eased myself into it and kept it simple , thanks for the info will look into that , cheers
