I was lucky enough to get one of the first cegga axes in the recent group buy, unfortunately its not for me, its a late birthday present for SWMBO. I thought Id just take a few photos before she takes it away from me. I don't have to say anything about the quality of cegga's work as i'm sure that you're all aware already, it's a superbly crafted axe. i'd love to give it a try and see what it's like to use but i can't, but it feels like it'd be a good tool to use. A little bigger and heavier than my gransfors so should be more capable as a tree felling tool, not sure i'd want to do much carving with it though.
A few pics of the cegga alongside my GB SFA for comparison
A few pics showing the size of the cegga.
It came supplied with a mask, which I didnt expect.
I dont have any decent scales so I didnt bother to weigh it, all I can say Is that its pretty weighty but superbly balanced, if anything its a better balance than my gransfors.
Thanks for looking
