Hello from central North Carolina!
Looking foward to participating in the discussions here, and expect I will find the viewpoints of those "across the pond" intresting and valuable.
A bit about me:
55 years old, hunter, fisherman(not particulary good at either!), divorced, love to just spend time in the woods "listening to my hair grow", as someone once said.
Spent some time in Alaska and the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, wonderful places to get "out and about'. While there plenty of land in North Carolina to hunt on, public land where one is allowed to simply camp for a day or two, or spend the day beside a small fire is somewhat limited. But it can be found!

Hi ya mate, welcome to the site, always good to hear a different view on being out and about, I will be in America next week, not near you though, Texas & Colorado.

Hi Uncle Alvah!

I have a sister and two nieces in Western North Carolina (Asheville), so it's nice to have an Uncle now as well! :)

Welcome to the site...

Welcome old friend!

All the best seem to find their way here.

You can't find land to camp because you are in the highest populated area of the State. I keep telling you to come over to the mountains!

Watch out for little furry creatures posting here!
