Whilst out today foraging for some autumnal goodies I came across a mushroom I can`t ID. I didn`t have my camera with me (typical) but I`d describe it as a translucent dayglo green colour about the size of a 10p coin and about 4cm tall. It had a wet jelly look to it.
I`ve looked in my books but can`t find a match, any ideas anyone ???

Was it on a branch? Then perhaps a Tremella Mesenterica -- ''Witch Butter'':

No it wasn`t on any wood, I found it in a moorland field. The ground was thick with moss and probably quite peaty.
It was definitley bright green but also see through. Imagine a double sized green fruit pastile with all the sugar licked off. Looked more like something from the ocean to be honest.

No I`d still have to say no to that one aswell Demo, I`m a bit annoyed that I didn`t have my camera today. I don`t think I`ll be going back up that way again for a couple of weeks either.
I`ll keep searching t`internet though.

Shewie,

I know the stuff - looks just like round blobs of green jelly in a variety of sizes 5p to 2p sized yes?

Yeah that`s right Red, there was just one single one on its own in a field full of other species.
I`ve found some rare parrot waxcap pictures on flickr which look similar

The one I saw looked a little more translucent though
