Great Swedish magazines about traditional crafts etc (Västerbotten)

Hella Västerbottens Museum in Sweden have put up many of their great books and magazines covering crafts and so on the web for free! They are written in Swedish but there are many pictures and you could probably translate it using google translate.

I've got most of them in paper form. I thought I would make it easier for you to find some goodies IMHO.

Here is a bench I've never seen in other places. It's from the year 1680(!!!) and is directly translated into english a "turn bench". You can turn the back over so you can use it as a bench from both sides without having to turn the whole bench around. Alot about wooden skis! There is a whole ski museum in Umeå btw! Later on there is stuff about traditional log houses. Take a look at the ones at page 124 for exampel...

Yes but they are very time consuming and hard to make! The best root baskets were able to hold water I've heard but most where made to hold salt. Baskets is perhaps the wrong word, more like flasks.
