First he's after my Onions

Then he has a pop at my peas. I'll have to watch this one ;)

Poor thing split his tail in the heat so I used a bit of home made pine pitch to fill the gap, which seemed to go down ok. Might scrimshaw him up a bit one day. :)

Used my new gouge to make this which makes hollowing out an absolute doddle http://www.rutlands.co.uk/hand-tools/carving/carving-tools---long-bent/7L/6/long-bent-tools.

The handle feels very comfy for my grip and I can get a decent sized drink of fresh coffee in it too.

Looks great. Could you give some info on this new gouge please?

Cheers, all the info I have is in the link above. They were recomended by a guy I know who has a vast collection of woodworking tools. You might be able to pick a similar one up from a boot sale, but i was inpatient and dont mind paying when they work this well. Didnt even bother to sharpen it till I'd finished. The flats on the ash handle are great for grip too.
