Thought I'd share an observation from the outdoor show ...

At the bushcraftuk demonstrations of firemaking.. fire steels, friction, chemical, charcloth etc (way to go DG, MadDave, Jerry, Lithril and Adi007!) I noticed that most of the women I talked to didn't get it. They couldn't understand the *men's fascination* with making fire by primitive means when they could simply use a lighter, matches etc.

Then when I was showing some blokes how to make feather sticks (thanks for the handy tips sargey!) and told them that they could use them for lighting the fire at home too, they said that laying and lighting the fire was *women's work* ...!!!
