Suingab is his name. All his scales are CNC very expertly. I was blown away when I saw his stuff on BB. Cuscadi eat your heart out, his prices are way better.

That UKPK on the right was my one. Originally clad in olive G10, heavy scratched all over, but the worst thing for me was no phosphor bronze washers, the blade was just riding on the G10 so opening was horrible. I’ve never had a new one, mine had seen several owners.

I like that red. Kind of looks like a frozen blood popsicle. Bit of an acquired taste perhaps. I got some of those Wilkins griptilian scales in the same stuff. Took a little while for me to come to terms with thme, so am quite surprised to see it as a first choice by Spyderco ... (anyone know if this is this a Heinnie SFO or a Spyderco initiative?)
.. your locationIt’s a Heinnie sprint run Rob, has the H etched on the blade. I’ve just done the thing and one arrived this morning courtesy of the magic sprites. As I said earlier, my only experience with a UKPK was marred by it being a complete dog. This one is different, and it’s pleasing me a lot.
I’ve done some pics, really just to try and get the red. Blood popsicle is pretty spot on. I’ll put them over on ROF for starters and see if they’ll copy/paste over here.
So, now you've had a good long while, Rich, how you feeling about this one? I am still dancing about on a decision, but actually that is more to do with a poorly performing economy than a concrete decision ... but, you know, being of neither one mind or the other generally has a negative outcome.

It’s been my daily EDC since the June 15th post above. It gets used a lot, spring is sound so far, and I like it enough that no other knife has been used since for the daily tasks like harvesting runner beans, opening cheese, or taking the stems off strawberries before cutting them up. Yeah, it’s good, I’m glad I bought it.
Cheers, Rich. It is the point on the UKPK that is so useful ... that and the fact that you might go to use it for something you haven't done before, or haven't used the UKPK for that particular thing, and it proves to be ideal ...

I reckon you’ll be happy with it, it’s more capable than the Urban, and today has been used for all sorts, including swiping bramble tendrils that are creeping out of hedges and catching clothes and skin. I’d prefer to use a BRKT Golok or Canadian Camp for this, but it’s not a good look slashing brambles in public in Sussex with large shiny blades.
To add, it’s been used, Bic lighter style, to open crown bottle caps many times since I bought it, by holding the handle tight and using the spine to pop them off. Obviously this puts a fair strain on the area just above the Spydiehole and pivot pin. No blade play or centering problems at all.
