Everytime I try to attach a pic to that thread my Tapatalk crashes.

Any idea what this fungi is? Found by my 6 year old and pic taken on her leappad. Sorry for poor quality.

Could be dryads saddle but it needs a better picture to make a positive ID

Dryads saddle (if that is what it is) is edible when young. Those look a bit big.

Looks like big Dryad's saddle, but well past the edible phase.

Ahhh thanks. When would it be edible...because I asked a chap that walks the route and he said it grows every year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it possible to dry it out and use it for tinder as with other polypores?
