Hi All
whilst wandering around Kingley Vale nature reserve which is an area with ancient Yew trees I came across this fungi in the leaf litter under some Yew and Oak trees.
I think it is some kind of Wax cap but am unable to identify using the books I have.
To give an idea of scale the photo showing the gills has a nut from a Yew tree on it so they are quite small the cap about the size of a 10p piece.
They are quite striking in colour as green as the Yew leaves, any ID help greatly appreciated

Really weird, I thought mushrooms didn't do green because they don't have chlorphyll. Live and learn.

cheers for that,
Toddy

I only know Chas because I found some myself and asked the same question on here no so long ago.

Only I didn`t have my camera with me when I found them so tried to describe them.

I think I said they reminded me of green fruit pastilles with the sugar licked off

Here`s the link to the rest of that resource ...

Great description Rich
if I had, had to describe them I could not have done better thanks for the link
they certainly stand out in the leaf litter, a complete contrast to the brown leaves
