Friction fire with one hand !

Hi folks,

I got injured lately and could'nt use my left hand. As i'm addicted, i just cannot hold myself from making bow drill fire. In the video I still have to use my left hand. In the last day i've developed new method, with these my left hand is completely free !!

Great video. I guess you would use a log to rest the bearing block on rather than your hand if needed?
Also funny to watch your bad hand keep trying to help whilst making the kit. Looks nasty.

I was in a similar situation.
I made a pump drill to solve the problem.
Surprisingly effective.

Hehe thanks a lot for the cmment, yes indeed the left hand does'nt like to be left apart

I never really tried the pump drill, it just seem's to be a lot of preparation for nothing, I could be wrong.
