It suggests to me that anything nature can do we can to. Or will do eventually.

Somaybe could mean that cryogenics, although, a relatively new science, will succeed?
[Bit of a leap there.]
But there are amphibians in the natural world which can completely shut down their organs, including their heart, in sub freezing temps, then 'reboot' themselves, years later after a thaw.

Immortality here we come!

Although it would be pretty crap waking up in a thousand years, and everyone you had ever knoen was dead.

Think I'd rather kick the bucket.

NASA are looking at how Bears sleep for so long (supposedly ) with a view to putting astronauts to sleep for a future Mars mission.

Thats incredible, good article.

Having astronauts put to sleep for a trip to mars would certainly make sense instead of having five years in a tiny box with several other people on top of any time spent on mars.
