The torx screws and barrels on one of my UKPKs have really been giving me problems. Tried every remedy online - soldering iron, elastic bands, even superglued one side of the screws to something to stop it moving and all that happened was the torx threads stripped.

I'm not proud of what I've done, but I feel there was some catharsis in it.

CONTENT WARNING: EXTREME GORE

Even once removed and with pliers, extreme heat and a lot of elbow grease, I cannot get the last screw undone. So I've ordered some more. I don't know what kind of deranged gibbon they let loose with the loctite at Spyderco HQ on the day this knife was assembled*, but they need to go easy.

All this just to fit a new set of scales.

*Perhaps the same deranged gibbon that was let loose with a soldering iron and pliers in the above photo

One of my first knives was a Puma with torx screws and most of them fell out! Spyderco obviously decided "not on my watch!"

(I had made a reference to the title. I don’t know many Christians in 3D. I forget that there could well be some here.)

The small Torx on some Spyderco models are made of cheese. It is very disappointing for what they cost.
It's very good that they're usually happy to send you replacement fixings from Golden, but they do seem to be affixed too firmly yet made of such soft material.
