hi woodland folk

i realy like the CRKT M16-10KZ Zytel with the aus-8 steel blade, is this any good or is there better knives in the same price range, ill be going in the army soon so want a decent quality folding knife

thanks dooooodes

and by the way i didnt get the mora 2000 i just got the clipper instead, cheap and cheerful

You can get this knife as a KIT, which uses aus -4 steel, but it is usually only a few dollars cheaper.
Looks tough enough, and I can vouch for aus 8, I wouldn't put a very fine edge on it, maybe stick to around 25 degrees and it should provide an edge which lasts a fairly long time. Assuming the temper holds.

yes ive seen the one with aus-4 steel for only 12.99 at swissknifeandtool.co.uk which is very cheap (nearly half price) but isnt aus-4 a very bad steel that wont hold an edge or is it actualy an ok steel

have just read a load about aus-4 and it seams its one of the worst knife steels, is there no knifes that stand out as excelent quality and cheap like the mora clipper but a folding knife
