Flame proof pressure cooker ?

I have been looking for some time to get a pressure cooker for outdoor use.

The advantages are higher boiling point at altitude and faster cooking for general use.

The problem I am finding is that most modern pressure cookers have plastic external fittings which are not much good for use on a camp fire.

Does anyone know of an all metal make ? (seals obviously excluded)

Prestige *used* to make one that had a seperate handle, like a billy sometimes does. Try the charity shops or your Gran's kitchen or her friends. Microwaves have mostly made pressure cookers redundant. I don't know of any new makes like that....maybe a caravan shop?

Afriend of mine brought back exactly what you're looking for from a trip to the himalayas where they use pressure cookers all the time at altitude - perhaps try some Indian companies.
