whats the material like on the poncho? Is it rustly and plasticky?

It's softer than cheaper options for sure.. Noticeably better quality. I wouldn't say rustly either.

cool thanks, is it waxed (or can be) like other fjallraven stuff?

just reading a bit and watching YouTube - I like carrying a poncho in my pack, but I have an awful cheap thing from hennie and I like it is as far as the idea of it, but it looks awful :/

It's a different fabric to the waxable g-1000 used in most of their stuff. This is a synthetic, waterproof, rain poncho so no need to treat with anything. Packs down smaller than a Nalgene bottle.
