the Tamarack website gives the size conversion for a 50 as 34.5" - 36"

and I'm guessing that when you say you'd swap for a 48" you actually mean a Fjalraven size 48 i.e. 33" - 34.5"?

And also my apologies for poking my nose in, the same as I did on the other Fjäll Räven trousers for sale thread

Size 50 is 86-90cm.

86-90cm is closer to 33.9"-35.4" (using conversion of 2.54cm per inch), than your figures.


I say this not because I want to poke at your maths conversions , but because I have myself been caught out with this same conversion. 0.6 of an inch isn't much if you're in the middle of the range, but if you're normally a generous 36" waist, size 50 could feel a little tight, ouch
