The main seal for the propellant canister was leaking on my CP88. I managed to get a new one for about £6 but replacing it meant completely dismantling the gun

I'm sure you'll all be as relieved as I was when it went back together and worked

It's really frustrating me now that I didn't put that spring straight

Well done. I start these projects with the utmost confidence and then find myself with a handful of rare earth magnets hoping to find ’that tiny spring’ I was warned about in the YouTube video I’ve largely ignored.

Last night it was removing links from a watch strap and changing the spring bars from heavily recessed lugs. And wow, they really do spring!
