Howdy folks :D A while back I saw a tutorial on how to make a flint-effect knife from steel. I'd been meaning to try it out for ages, and decided to give it a go today, to make an arrowhead for a necklace.

The colour is from hardening, though I was a bit hasty and quenched too early so I'll need to do it again. The idea was that after quenching it could be used as a striker for the firesteel if need be, or pushed to other tasks in a pinch.

Comments welcome!

That looks excellent and the idea of being able to use it as a firesteel too is brilliant. :35:

If you're planning on making them to sell put me down for one for sure :)

Thank you :D I would consider doing a run of them, but I really doubt my skills are consistent enough to get good results each time! My HT skills leave a bit to be desired :o I am thinking about making a few out of copper though, in which case I'll feel a bit better about looks over functionality!
