First Oysters of the season

Just got back from a mooch in the woods with my GSD and discovered a lovely clutch of oysters growing on an old Beech.

They were a bit maggoty but easily cleaned out with a squirt of the tap and now drying out on the radiator. I'll probably have them gently fried in garlic butter with a bit of my good lady's bread and some salami.

I've got some jelly ears dried out in the cupboard so may make a bit of soup for tomorrow...
