I had my first Greengage today , it was quite funny I saw them , didn't really know what they were , I said to the mrs they look like plumbs I picked a small bit with a few leaves and a fruit on to check when i got home , we then walked round the corner to see an old guy stuffing his face with them 
I spoke to him for a while he knew a lot about wild foods and showed me a few other edibles a stones throw from the plumbs, I mentioned bushcraft to him and he had never even heard of it I love meeting people like that, Oh they fruit was really nice I will be going back for more
