this is my first knife i've had a go at making. 01 carbon steel blade with plum scales and a rather over thick sheath.
it was easier making than trying to post the damn photos.

I like the rough look/colour, reminds me of the early knives that built this country over here.

Exellent first knife.You will now spend twice as much time 'cleaning it up' as you did making it.(I know.been there done that) It does give great satisfaction when you realise that it works as well as one you could have spent money on.
its always great to see people making their own knives, it will delight you with every cut in a way no bought knife ever could.
yup, used the gas effect fire in the living room and the oven. the fire managed to get it hot enough (loss of magnetism) and, owning a landy, i have plenty of engine oil lying about to quench it in after.
