first cuckoo of 2016 ?

I have not contributed much but I bring you this;
while working at Tenterden (in Kent), I was treated to many very good and clear calls from a cuckoo at around 5 to 7pm today.
My spirits are lifted.....

Oh, I envy you! Always one of the highlights of the year for me, the first cuckoo. I've been listening out in hope but nothing yet down this way.

I 'think' I've heard a couple of calls in last few days, but cannot give a definite.

A friend informed me yesterday that the devil bird has arrived at Wicken Fen.
