I was just looking at trek direct and came to the first aid section. I noticed that the global survivalkit had different colour needles. Does anyone know why?

The needle.. how big of a diameter it has.

Wouldn't be surprised if it is just the needle part too, no actual canister.

needles or cannulae have diffenet internal diameters, and so diferrrent external diameters, they're also different lengths. Thats useful for the size of vein you're trying to stick the needle in, or the consistency of drug you're injecting and to where. A sub-cut or intradermal injection needs a very fine needle, a deep muscle injection or "oily" drug usually needs a larger bore longer needle.
