Fire Box ?

I have been looking at fire boxes and was just about to order a mini tentipi when I came across this.

It seems to be a mid sized Tentipi box and I was wondering if anyone has tried it ?

yeah i got one of those - want to play with it? its ok but deforms a bit - made of too thin a material really.

Have you ever come across the Tentipi version?

I am wondering how they compair as the the Tamrack although bigger is 200g lighter, it is probably due to being made from thinner metal and could be the cause of the deforming.

I may well take you up on your kind offer of a play with your box.

Never come across the tentipi version no. You will be most welcome to have a play, we can either meet up at the canturbury meet or some other place. I am currently in Maidstone but will be moving to just outside Tenterden soon.

Just got the OK on the new house - bungalow surrounded by fields with a large woods out the back

Is the fire box really 34 x 32 cm? in the picture it seems more rectangular than square.

I've just got it out to measure
In its flat pack in the leather case i made for it its 40cm x 19cm
I think it might be a typo as mine is 34x22cm when opened

Ive got both the tentipi fireboxes.
The bar in the middle gets in the way, they deform and you have to blow a lot.
Find them a bit fiddlely, but luckally I didnt pay for them.
Think the grilliput and bowl is a better idea, so ive got one on order.
