Dear friends,
I'd like having some hints for finishing my cups or kitchenware. After carving the wood, how do you finish it in order to keep it well finished but also safe and not contaminating for food or water?

after you finish it, dip it in water and leave to dry. Once dry, sand over only once with finest sandpaper you have. If you sand too much, go back to step 1 (water).

Once done, finish in walnut oil.

Yup any walnut oil. Once you get the hang of things you can be more picky with the oils but use any walnut oil to start you off.

I found a bottle in my local supermarket.
