I've been determined to get this sheath finished before I try taking the knife out of the house, and as I'm off to a "Hammer-In" with guys from British Blades this weekend I obviously wanted to be able to take my latest "toy" with me to that.
The knife is only my second attempt at a "All My own Work except for the HT" knife. and I've just finished the sheath in the last 10 minutes or so.
Knife is Scandi grind, 5mm thick 01 and a 6" blade with brass bolsters and hidden bolts. Handle scales are of Lignum Vitae.
Sheath is of 5mm thick veg tan shoulder, wet moulded to take the handle despite the sheath being a "Stacked leather" design, double row stitching and a "dangler" type belt loop which I have come to prefer as they keep the knife handle well below the line of the waist-belt of my bergen.
