It dosn't go into use of plants as medicines, but it has sections on Mushroom Toxicity signs symptoms and treatment and plant induced dermatitis such as would occur from poison oak and ivy. I think it's really aimed at your expedition doctor or people with an already good level of knowledge of first aid and there are certainly some medical terms used in the text that maybe only a doctor would understand. However i find it an interesting book and it's not written in a way that you can't understand anything. If you have absolutly no knowledge of first aid you may struggle a bit with it. If you do have some knowledge and want to advance it, this is definately the book you want. It takes you well beyond what an average first aider would know.

Look at the link on the first post and scroll down to check out the contents of the book. There's a lot of very interesting stuff in there.

Cheers
