Is the spin off worth me tracking down and viewing? Think I initially gave up after the first few episodes of season 1

So any fans giving it the thumbs up?

aye it's a very different show, It took my quite a while to really get into it but it got much better especially the second season

Frustratingly series one was on Amazon Prime but have been waiting in vain for series two on Prime. Not willing to pay for the DVD and I son't trust the assorted "free" download sites for ptogrammes or books.

Second season is better than the first.

First season is pretty much everyone making stupid decisions, not realising zombies are zombies, predictable plot hooks, etc etc.
