There are many people on here with superb skills who could probably rehandle an F1 blade to you exact requirements. i can recommend Dougster in particular!!

Hope this helps.

the blades are about the same price as the complete knife with sheath.

So it would cost a little more with wood, pins, glue, time etc

Firstly you could look at trustee old scandi makers like Helle, they are stick tang, but they are still very good strong and capable knives. Specifics look for the Harding, Eggen and the Symfoni.

Brusletto with the Nansen and the Troll are also very good knives that will last a long time, but you would be moving away from the F1 shape when you start looking at the troll.

Full Tang knives with wooden handles in that price range and of similar spec brings you into the world of EKA knives. The EKA A10 would be worth looking into although they have had a rep for not being very sharp when they arrive, The EKA Nordic H8 is also in here, not the nicest of looking sheaths, but it is a knife with a good reputation and finally we have the Nordic W11 which has had some very good reviews. All of these knives are full tang with Bubinga rosewood for the scales.

Well there are some suggestions to keep you strolling on, but the other real option is to buy the F1 blade and make the knife yourself as the blade blank costs the same as the knife itself.

There are enough of us here and on BB that we could advise you on making one, we can also talk you through making the sheath as there are some good tutorials for it.

If you wanted shape one yourself to fit your hand, id be quite happy to glue and bolt some wood on ready for you to shape.
