Well I've fancied having ago at making one of these for a while so I bought at couple of head blocks in ( male & female) Harris hawk sizes to have a play with and here is the results of my first attempt.
I don't have a hawk of my own so not had chance to try it on one, I do know a couple of folks who do so we'll see.
It's made from tooled 2mm leather with extra padding on the edges and chin strap and a turned wooded bead.
It took a lot on messing around with the pattern to get it to fit the hood block and I think it could do with the opening at the front been a bit narrower.
Interested to hear from anyone else who's made hoods?
