nice - though I think you may be right........

for me the scales seem a little 'busy' and distracting from the damascus

similar sized scales (so the edges are protected) in clear perspex would look nice;)

For me, it's the scales and the mosaic pins that aren't right for the blade. The blade is very ornate and does not need the fussiness of the handle and pins. Also I think the handle needs to have some sharply defined lines to compliment the sharply defined lines of the blade. ;)

In hindsight you are spot on Jojo! going to take it to bristol to see if there are any scales there that'd suit it!

No no no not my blade! i just did the dodgy handling attempt. Its not up to usual standard. Just like my teachers used to say, i know i can do much better!
