Just walked out side to the garage and gave the car a kick.

Going to be another two weeks before it will pass the MOT. :(

Hopefully, he will do some more later in the year. :notworthy

Generally he doesn't do many dates I'm afraid to say.

He did a couple of evenings at Tonbridge Wells a couple of years ago, and one in Eastbourne - must be about 4 or 5 years ago (did anyone go to that one - a very memorable introduction!) but that's about it I think, unless I missed some.

Who else is going on wednesday?

Please do matt-w, there may be something when the book comes out
of course.

I've emailed the venue to ask if there's anything in place in the unlikely
event of cancellations. I'm imagining touts outside with double price tickets ;-)

Will post here if I hear anything.

Failing that, it would seem like a not-bad-idea to ring the venue on Wed
or Thur morning and ask if anyone's rung up to say 'can't make it' - and
wants to re-sell their ticket (if that's allowed).

I have a hunch that as his profile builds (it seems to be going great guns at the moment) there will be many more dates because there will be good money in it for Ray. Doesn't he have a serious business manager these days looking at ways to exploit the Ray Mears 'brand'? I thought I read that somewhere. We are living in the age of the personality cult, after all. I'm not being cynical, I think I'd do exactly the same in his shoes. But I could be wrong.

I'm sure there will be more. You know how secretive RM is.

Sounds to me like the government "we have no plans to invade iran at the present time". Or how about this one "Labour has no plans to introduce tution fees for higher education"

Apparently the Assembly Hall Theatre has closed its waiting list for tickets
as it was huge so it seems unlikely that anyone would be able to get tickets
now unless they'd already been on the list.

Wonder if RM will do any of the literary or science festivals later in the year.
Then again we could always club together and book him as an after dinner
speaker :)

This just in, but I'm not too hopeful:

To Jo,

Thank you for your email. Our waiting list for returns for this show is now full. I
can only recommend ringing us on the day, around 5pm to see if we have had
any tickets returned.

Regards
