eskimo hunters 1949

rancid badger

Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
Very interesting little snippet Robin;)
I had to smile when the narrator said that they only carried the useful bits of the caribou back to the village, looked to me like EVERYTHING, including the burps and farts, was piled on the sled:D
cheers

Excellent vid makes you appreciate what we have brought to us on a plate, I always feel sorry for the dogs, especially when I look at my pampered pooches.

Great insight to the way the native Alaskens lived. but what were they thinking with the added sound effects, they just detracted from the film (I know they were added when the film was made)

I've got the video of Nanook of the North. It's in the same vein but shows the domestic side of living in a white desert. Well worth a look.

The "star" aparently starved to death a year or two after the film was made. Real life on the edge.

Ive got `Nannok of the North` too.

He got `everyone` in his kayak, didnt he?

And I like the laid back proffesionalism of the igloo building
