I got eaten alive a fortnight ago in a marquee in the middle of a council housing scheme in Clydebank, and in Perthshire, and up beside Loch Lomond and in Bothwell too......I think they need to re-site their midgie traps.

Cheers,
Toddy

Usual feeding frenzy at the weekend. Haven't noticed anything different about the numbers this year.

Last summer there definately appeared to be a lull during the hot, dry spell around this time. Only lasted a couple of weeks though, then they were out again as bad as ever.

There was certainly a bunch of them when I camped out at the weekend at home and then down in the Bothwell Castle policies when we went for a walk

It'll take a lot more than a slightly poorer summer to kill off 150 bazillion midgies!

Cheers,

Alan
