Yeah , it was a group buy I think . The original company is in New Zealand I think . I'd prefer a UK supplier if I can .

The rod end alone is only about $25 on the septic Amazon… If you already have a reel and an old rod that you could sacrifice for the handle, you should be able to knock up a decent kayak rod on the cheap.

Or try these chaps.

I gave it away to my brother. It's cheap and a little nasty but does the job and he likes it. The reel is rubbish and the reel seat is "agricultural". But it's reflected in the price
