take 4.5 litres of pure apple juice from the super market.
put the apple juice into a demi john or a 5 litre mineral water bottle
add one teaspoon of wine yeast and give it a good shake
add an airlock and leave till it stops bubbling
and there you go 4.5 litres of cider ,will usually work out about 6.0 % abv
oh and before you start make sure you sterelise everything you can use houseold bleach for this but make sure you rinse well

The only thing to be careful of is to not buy fruit juice that has potassium sorbate as a preservative (E202)

This preservative works by preventing yeast cells from multiplying properly, and as such can severely limit your fermentation.

An alternative method is to buy around 2 kilos of apples, chop them roughly and cover them with around 5-6 litres of water and leave to stand for a week. Strain of the resulting liquid and boil this up to kill off anything that got in during the week of standing about, then bottle and add yeast as before. Very tasty! :D

By "bottle" I assume you mean a demijohn. I suspect that putting freshly yeasted apple juice in sealed bottles could be quite interesting and messy

quite right about the sorbate ,match ,but to tell you the truth ive never checked for it i just get pure apple juice from concentrate usually 40 to 50 pence a litre usually takes asbout a week to ferment out .also not to every ones taste but it will be cloudy ,just as a scrumpy would be
