Tried out my new dutch oven today (sorry no pic's) with some success, in that I baked a loaf of bread.

Seemed to get the temperature right on the top but OD'd a bit on the bottom burning the base some, but all in all it smelt and tasted fine.

So its another loaf practice again methinks, I've got the recipe for nan bread so will give that a shot with a curry all done in the oven of course.

I know a big kid with a new toy, with edibles at the end.:campfire:

uk mainly in the Midlands though
awesome, Chad made some on the Outdoor Show meet and it was great too.

One of the reason why I got my dutch oven too after seeking advice from the masters of Dutch oven cooking (the naughty corner) Two Dogs and MartinK9 to make sure I got the right size for the job :)

I burned the first loaf I tried on the base, but had better results the next, turning the oven a quarter turn every 15 mins and the lid a quarter turn the opposite way, it stopped hot spots building up from the coals..
