I've just ordered a grade 1 Dutch army goretex parka from Endicotts - anyone else got one of these? I got fed up of getting cheap jackets sold as waterproof that couldn't even stand up to showers, so I wanted a goretex jacket and with my budjet surplus is the only way I'll get one :)

Just hoping I made the right choice now :D what do you guys think of them?

Do you mean the three layer one IDO?
the one with detachable fleece and goretex liners - if so, yup, pretty good IMO.
You can remove the liners to make it lighter for spring/summer use.
I had one for years and it proved pretty much bomb-proof.

I got one from Endicotts and it is absolutely brilliant. The outer layer is a poly-cotton material so it is quiet. They are cut for tall skinny people however (like most Dutch) so I hope that is going to suit you. Kevin is very good at checking this out when he works out what size you are. Go for the matching trousers to - amazing quality

yea, had one of those for a while ,got it grade 2 and its still got loads of life in it.
lives in the car and gets used and abused anytime the weather goes tishy. good bit of kit.
