Received. Another beauty, if the ones I’ve bought off are the ones you’re getting rid of, I’d love to see your “keepers”!:p
This is really nice, I like that it’s not got the usual thick slab of steel as a blade, to my mind, it’s just right, thick enough to be strong enough and fine enough to be versatile for carving and camp kitchen duty. ka-bar can keep their overpriced “Kephart”, I got one when they came out and sent it right back, the grinds and bevels were way off, I could have corrected them, but then again, when you pay that much, you shouldn’t have to. I always thought the handle slabs and their fixings were silly as well, the wood seemed to be very ropy and if you’re copying an original 1920s knife, right down to the bevel and grind angles, why go with very obviously modern fixings? Once this has gained some patina, it’s going to look a hell of a lot more period than their version. Yep, my Kephart quest is now officially over. Thank you John, another belter of a knife!:)

Glad to hear it's found a good home, it's a decent thing. You should have a word with jim from dreadnought forge, top bloke and makes a great honest knife with some traditional patterns at a good price. A good majority of my keepers at from him, his nesmuk is quite likely my favourite knife

A pleasure to deal with you again, thanks buddy

Thanks, I’ll check him out. I can well see it becoming my favourite actually, I really like the clean simplicity of its lines. The ebony looks great with the stainless bolts, the handle’s a perfect size, I take a size 11 glove and too many of my knive handles are just a tad too short to make an otherwise great knife perfect, that Bark River I bought off you is great in that respect, that’s another favourite. I have a Nomad Knifeworks Meister, basically a Woodlore Pro, which would be my firm favourite but the handle is just that bit too short. I’m thinking to investigate how much it would be for one with a longer one as I do really like the balance and the blade profile, you’d never think it was 5mm at its thickest, the distal taper really affects it. Anyway, thanks again for another gem! :)
