Hi All,

I bought these from Jedediah and match the advert that Jed placed below. The problem is that they are too short for me (I know, I should have checked more carefully  :D

Jeds original ad...

DPM waterproof overalls, fantastic piece of kit to have in the bergan in case of a downpore Hood, pockets, works a treat, VERY similar to the Gore-tex sniper suit. Unrivalled in any market place. size 170/100 £25 (got to be seen to be believed.)

So is anyone interested? I will accept what I paid for them - £25 or I am open to swapsies of a similar value - I need some decent gaitors or one of those Woodlore knifes that people keep mentioning :D

Thanks.

More bumps than a very bumpy thing there Matt , I don't want them though :) unless you want to swap a copy of the boy mechanic for em , worth no where near £25 though , and when are you coming over for that coffee ?

:lmao:

I just wrote...

Coffee eyyy? :naughty:

Then realised how that may look to others looking in :lmao:

The story is that I was looking at a couple of John's (Singeblister's) beautifully crafted knifes at a recent meet in the presence of my missus and Greg (Firebreather) when Greg informed me that he really should stop calling round John's place given that he falls in love with one of John's creations every time and invariably ends up buying it.

At this John said to me, 'You should come to my place for a brew soon ;)'.

I will soon. I'd be nice to go bimble round your neck of the wood.

Oh, and thanks for the bump :)

Take him down into your totally wild woods mate they are nearly as wild as mine :D Matt take a stoo lto sit on if you go out in the woods as its very soggy underfoot and there are no fallen trees to sit on.

I am interested in the overalls but would like some help on the sizing please. What does 170/100 translate to in usual sizing e.g. chest and height in inches ?

If they were too short perhaps you could tell me your height if that is easier?

Thanks
Leigh

I'm pretty sure it's overall height/chest size in cm i.e. ~ 5' 7" height x 40" chest, but I'll defer to any (ex)forces people here.

Yes, the first number is hieght in cm's and the second number is chest measurment in cm's. However, they are designed to cover sizes in between. So, the DPM coveralls that Matt is selling are 170/100. That means the y will fit someone 165 to 175 cm tall with a 95 to 105 cm chest. Hope this helps.:D

Thanks everyone for your clarification on the sizing.
I am in two minds about the sizing, I am 175cm tall and 102cm chest so in theory they will fit but i have found in my kitbag another Army jacket that is a 180cm and that allows me to wear clothing underneath comfortably.
I think these may be too small but I will think about it.

Cheers
Leigh

I just had a look and the size is 180/96 which i presume means they will fit me if the chest is 96 and the coveralls are 100.

if this is the case, i would still like them please Matt. can you just confirm your size is not less than 5'8" and that my understanding of coveralls is that they are the equivalent of a boilersuit but waterproof to wear over your existing clothes? Are the trousers and top separate or all in one?
Regards

Hi Leigh,

You are spot on in saying 'they are the equivalent of a boiler suit but waterproof to wear over your existing clothes' and they are all-in-one rather than seperate top and bottom.

Looking at a tape measure 170cm converts to approx 5' 7".
