...no, not the Gadsden flag, but walking out to the woodshed I stepped on something that felt spongy - fished a torch out of my pocket and found that hedgepigs feel spongy underfoot . All curled up in a ball - checked back ten minutes later and it had wandered off

Nah , I was worried I squished the little snufflepig by hephalumping on him - he was okay though

I've had a good few reports of hedgepigs lately, it's that time of year. Heartening, though, considering the decline in population - 95% down since the 60's.
