Just packing away some gear after an overnighter in the mountains so I thought it might make an interesting thread to list some gear which I have found just does the job. A few of these had teething problems but have since proved worthy companions, others were the biz out of the box. So here goes:
Chocolate fish woolly hat and snood
Swandri shirt
woolpower socks
Kiwi craghoppers
Altberg boots
Go-lite hex 3 (needed resealing initially)
Army gortex bivy (UK)
Gelert Jaguar 400 bag (Excellent warmth and value)
Snugpak thermalon liner (probably the best)
German Army Gortex single skin rain jacket (best tenner I ever spent)
GB SFA (perfect balance)
SAK
Alpkit Timug
foldacup
Gyot designs eating utensil/ spork
Optimus nova
Snugpak sleeka jacket
Trangias all varieties
Typhoon neoprene gloves
tank drivers (gortex lined) leather gloves (UK)
F1 and or any of the mora knives
opinel folder
LMF ferro rod
camp ovens - cast and southern metal spinners bedouri and Aussie camp ovens.
I am yet to find a pack that I can get on with...
I am sure I have missed a few but these spring to mind.
