Do alcohol stoves seal or do you have to carry the fuel in a sepreat container?

Some do, a Trangia does as long as you look after the o-ring

Watch out for the cheap knock-offs though, they have a seal for the cap but my experience is that they usually leak elsewhere!

Agreed, my Tatonka is a bit suspect at times. Not used it for ages but I remember having to carry it empty on the last few outings.

I would not trust any of them not to leek,, just carry you fuel in a separate container

I would agree, fill your stove and let it burn away carry fuel in a container that is made for purpose always.
