I was talking to Cromm on here, when we were out shooting the other day, and got on the subject of String Silencers, and he told me how he makes some of his...so my thought was to do a pair for my Bow..
This is how I did it..
I got some Wool, A bit of wood and some glue..
Then I wraped the wool around the wood, and run a bead of glue down each side
when the glue was dried, I then slit down each side in the middle of the Glue
so you end up with two sheets of wool strands
I then tied the stands in the middle
Then Cut off the ends that were glued
split the Bow string and fed the wool bundles through.. I put these at 15" from each end of the loops of the string
A couple of pics of the finished Item..
I have been out in the garden and tried them, and they silence the Bow quite a bit, I am very pleased with the effect,
I thank Steve (Cromm) For telling me about how to do it, and Hope you find it of use
