The best boss I ever worked for was a farmer.I did several hay times with him when I was a teenager and it was a total pleasure to work for him. I worked very hard, I was very well paid and very well treated. He also had the most bawdy and anarchic sense of humour......but I digress.
He was telling me one time about severe winters. I cant remember if it was 1945 or 1948 he referred to but the winter was HARD on that year, frost and snow for months on end. He said that the situation was so bad that hares were coming in from around the fields into his hay barn looking for food. He would walk into the barn of a morning and dozens and dozens of them would scatter
