I decided I wanted a simple archery release so made one out of an old HDPE chopping board. I marked out the shape, cut it out and then wrapped some of it in paracord to make it a little more comfortable.

Then I took it out and tried it with my slingbow and it worked quite well.

Looks good but I'll stick my neck out and ask what others are too timid to ask........ How does it work?

Basically you put your second and third fingers through the hole, hook the string on the short hook and then put your index finger over it. You draw the string back as normal and then point your index finger. This allows the force of the string under tension to pull the release slightly around on your fingers releasing the string.

I have a video I am uploading to show how easy it is to use.

Ah I see! It is much bigger than I thought initially, funny how scale is confusing in photos.... I thought the hole was about finger sized.
