This is my take on a compact and efficient multi-fuel 500ml water boiler and trail stove combination.

It's gone through several iterations to get to this and is proven in the field.

My two vids show the Chimney Kettle Jug in use and also includes a tutorial on how to make one.

Hi all, I thought I'd share an update with you...

Back in the summer, I developed an alternative to a kelly kettle which also doubled as a trail stove & it all worked well and since then, I've found that using one more bit of the kit (the chimney tube), the trail stove option works even better than the original and draws on some of the rocket stove chimney draft principles to produce a great burn in the stove tube without having to use much fuel wood, twigs, etc and it leaves virtually no ash and gets the top of the stove up at a better working height when using a pan etc.

It's easy to load with fuel from the top and can take several pieces up to an inch wide and 6 inches long thus creating a tall fire which increases the critical mass and heat capacity and reduces the need to constantly feed thin twigs in through the original horizontal feed tube.

Thanks for this - I missed the first post. Amongst loads of other things, I am currently experimenting with making simple stoves - yours looks like anotherone to have a go at
